8 Months Old
Sophia is now 8 months old...is that possible? It seems like we just brought her home a couple days ago. She is such a sweet little girl, every day she has a new "trick" or a different part of her personality is coming out.
She loves to crawl around the room and try and eat anything she can get her hands on (or mouth on). This has lead to me having to tell her "NO" very sternly when she attempts to put chords into her mouth.
She is saying "Dada" and "Momma".
She lets out these funny gasps when she is happy.
She will eat any food we give her, she LOVES fresh fruit!! Her new favorite flavor is applesauce with blueberries and peaches in it.
She can put "finger food" into her mouth...carrots, Teddy Puffs, little pieces of fruit.
Andrew and I have figured out that in her 8 months of life Sophia has been on 6 plane flights
(4 of them cross-county). And she has been to 10 states.
She is an amazing little person and brings so much joy into our lives!

My cousin Lauren and her husband Matt welcomed their first child on Friday. A little boy named
Tommy :) I hear that Lauren was wonderful and that Mommy and baby are both just perfect! We are so happy for you three and can not wait to meet the newest member of our family!

A tired Mommy and one blessed baby!

Love to all three!!

Back from Birmingham
We made it back safe and sound from our trip to B-ham. We arrived around 2am Friday morning, and we were quite grateful that Nana and Poppy got up with Sophia when she woke up at 7:00. We were able to visit with everyone, go to the Zoo, eat great food, have a date night, see Caleb and Abba's great new shop, and have a wonderful time!
First trip to the Zoo :) Looking at the Alligators with Dad Family picture

Playing the piano with Nana. Having fun with Daddy! First box of crayons. Trying to eat the crayons.

Heading Out!
Sorry, there have not been many updates lately. Between trying to sell this house, getting everything ready for our new house, Sophia being a little sick, packing, etc....things have been a tad hectic around her. Oh, and I couldn't find the battery charger for our camera. Anyway we are heading to Birmingham to see David and Sue's (Andrew's parent's)new home! We are looking forward to spending some family time together. We also get to see Abba and Calebs's new store!! There will be so much to post about! I promise I will have updates and pictures when we return.
Talk to you all soon....Love and kisses!!

Spring Retreat
This past weekend was our Sunday school class spring retreat. There were 18 couples and 5 kids ranging from 3 years old to 7 1/2 months (Soph). We all drove down to Myrtle Beach and stayed in three different houses. We had wonderful teaching and worship as well as a great time hanging out together at the beach or playing games. I think Andrew and I are constantly amazed that we have been blessed with another great church family after leaving such an amazing group back at Grace.
Sophia helping me pack.
She was such a trooper this weekend, she was so happy and excited. She never had a meltdown or had any trouble living with 5 other couples and two other kids.

Ready to stroll over to the beach.

Hanging out, playing and eating whatever she can get her hands on. I am pretty sure only three hand fulls of sand actually made it into her mouth :)

Ready for a nap.

First time in the pool!

Too cold!!

Way too cold!!

Friends....Anna, Rachael and Sophia. Anna is almost 2 months older than Sophia and Rachael is three. Smiley little girl :)
