First bite of Cereal

Sophia had her fist bit of cereal 2 weeks ago, I have been a tad slow in posting, sorry.

Overall, I think she was a tad shocked...I had to stop giving it to her last week , because she had a cold and couldn't eat/breath/chew at the same time. So we will see this week how it goes :)

Happy 65th Anniversary Grams and Gramps!!!

My Grandparents will be celebrating 65 years of marriage this weekend! Isn't that just amazing!! I love watching the two of them together. Even now, at family gatherings they are sitting together holding hands or my Grandfather will have his arm around Grams.

She still lovingly calls him "Dickey" and he still opens her car door.

They are the cutest couple and I love them :)

House Update Week #3

Work on the house is continuing to roll along!! This week it rained a couple days, but they still managed to frame the entire downstairs and get some of the upstsairs completed too!! The top two pictures are early in the week...the downtstairs. The house as of Sunday...downstairs is done, begininning upstairs! This will be our window looking out of the family room into the backyard. Me, standing on the front porch...looking into the front yard.

House Update Week #2

Lets see...this week they finished the cinder blocks, and poured the foundation. The picture above is looking from the driveway towards where the garage will be. Me, standing in front of the garage. This is looking from the backyard, through the house out into the street. Back/side yard looking out towards the street. The concrete slab is the garage. This view is from the front of our driveway, looking down our street. I think the next step is getting the frame up...so I will take and post more pictures soon!!

This morning I spoke to Sophia's Mimi (my Mom) and Nana (Andrew’s Mom), and they both requested more pictures of Soph. So here are some random pictures from the past couple of days. I promise I will take more asap :)

It seems like that verse has popped into my mind a millions times a day lately. Every time I look at my amazing husband and precious baby I realize what a blessing they are. In knowing that they are gifts I become even more in love with the Lord who gave them to me. In Malachi it talks about the Lord opening the floodgates of heaven and pouring out so many blessings that a warehouse could not hold all of them. I know how that feels!!! It's overwhelming to think how undeserving I am; and how full of grace and mercy our Lord is!!

Week 1 House Update

It has been quite a productive week! Monday it was just a cleared plot of dirt. The workers have staked, dug, poured concrete and put the cinder blocks in for the foundation! Yippee!!! Now it is raining - so I'm not sure how much will get done today. But over all it has been fun to see the difference a week of work can do.

I need to get more pictures...but honestly I feel so silly driving by the lot taking pictures while people are working, and by the time they go home it is too dark to take pictures :)
