Sick Little Sweetie
So last night was our first Emergency room visit as parents. Sophia has been feeling a bit under the weather the last couple of days, but nothing serious. Then last night about 9:30 we heard her coughing in her room. When we went to check on her she felt really warm, and was having trouble breathing. She was wheezing and having difficulty calming down. We called her pediatrician, who listened to Soph breathe to her on the phone, then she suggested that we take her to the ER. She was concerned with how fast Sophia was breathing. Anyway...she is much better now!! She has the croup, they gave her Motrin to bring down her fever (102.3), a steroid and a breathing treatment. We had to stay at the hospital for a couple hours to make sure she didn't have a bad reaction to the treatments. But we came home and got her in bed about 1:30 ish. This morning her fever is down and she has been sleeping most of the day. She was such a sweet little girl, the nurses loved her and she looked so cute in her little baby hospital gown. I am hoping we never have to see her in one again. :)
